My sprayer and faucet run at the same time I have put new diverter

I have a moen model INSO82D faucet and the sprayer and faucet run at the same time then they sent me a new diverter which I used subsequently making sure there was no trash in the faucet where the diverter goes. The sprayer has more pressure level now only the faucet puts out equally much water every bit the sprayer does and it never did this earlier. The faucet has great pressure when the sprayer is off. Is in that location something else I can endeavor? Thanks

Did this faucet always work correctly?
Before y'all replaced the diverter, and with the valve open up, did you turn on the water to flush out the open valve body and supplies?

I agree with Tom. You either didn't install the diverter correctly or at that place is debris preventing diverter to motion to close position. Take information technology apart, clean it, flush information technology, and reinstall it.

Yes, the faucet worked neat before and I did turn on the h2o for a good minute to make sure information technology was flushed out well. I also had to turn on the water to become the diverter to come up up because I couldn't get information technology out otherwise.

I was also thinking I didn't install it right so I have taken information technology out three times to bank check to make sure it is in correctly. I also cleaned it out and flushed it and put information technology back. I am really puzzled and am anxious to see if I can really make information technology piece of work right.

Check to make certain the sprayer isn't plugged. If the sprayer is partially plugged, you won't get enough flow to make the diverter work correctly, and so you will get a stream out of both the sprayer and the spout, about half and half. One mode to test this is to remove the spray head, point the hose in the sink, and turn the fuacet on. If y'all get water only out of the spray hose, I'm betting y'all could give the spray head a skilful cleaning and be dorsum in working order.

Yes, I take already installed the new sprayer and I accept checked for kinks also. When I turn on the sprayer is that when the diverter is supposed to popular up to end the h2o from coming out of the faucet? The reason I inquire I idea I might take information technology apart and turn on the sprayer and see if it comes up.
